GWRC Philmont Trek information

Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier high-adventure base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.

THE Greater Western Reserve Council provides an opportunity for Scouts in our Council to join the council contingent to Philmont annually.

GWRC National Jamboree Information

The BSA conducts a national Scout jamboree every four years and participates in world Scout jamborees (also held at four-year intervals). Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, was the site of the 2005 National Scout Jamboree. The next National Jamboree will be in 2010 to celebrate the 100th aniversary of Scouting in the United States.

Florida Sea Base

The Florida National High Adventure Sea Base is owned and operated by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America to offer unique educational aquatic programs to our members. Located in Islamorada, the heart of the Florida Keys, the near shore reefs offer unparalleled opportunities for long term and short term programs year round. Our new Conference facilities are utilized for youth and adult Scouting Conferences and non-Scouting groups when available... write or call for specific program information and costs.
