Youth Protection On-Line Training

A new youth Protection training course in available for all Scouters from National. This On-Line course is avaialble for any person to learn more about Scouting's Youth Protection Policies and how to be more aware of the issues involved. Registered Scouters can complete the training and receive certification for the training through their local council. The On-line training is only available through a local council web site link. District Award Nomination Forms

The forms to nominate a Scouter are available for download here. Please refer to the forms for instructions and submit them to as required.

District Awards Nomination Form

These awards are to recognize volunteers who have done an outstanding job in their volunteer assignment regardless of tenure. This application must be submitted every year for the candidate to be considered for that year. This award is for the leader who has made noteworthy accomplishments or outstanding service to Cub or Boy Scouting in Headwaters District for this past year. This award IS NOT intended to be a substitute or prerequisite for the District Award of Merit. If your applicant is worthy of the District Award of Merit, please submit their name for that award. NOTE: This nomination is confidential. Please do not inform nominee of your action.

District Award of Merit Nomination Form

The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts or Venturing divisions in the same manner thet the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils. The award is available to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district or Venturing division level. It is not appropriate to nominate a Scouter who has already received this award. A professional Scouter may not receive this award based on professional service. However, a professional Scouter who also serves as a volunteer may be eligible, based on volunteer service.
