Greetings to all! I hope you are enjoying your summer. I know I am looking forward to Summer Camp with the Troop and then I will spend a week at the Philmont Scout Ranch Training Center. Many of you are taking a "break" from the hectic Scouting Schedule so enjoy yourselves and keep your eyes towards the District Kick-off on Wednesday August 8th.

We will be looking to offer a stellar year when we return and I ask everyone to "do our best" to make sure that we have challenging and fun programs for our Scouts. Scouts look forward to the new and the different. Ask them to stretch their minds and muscles to "reach for the stars" as they Scout their way through the Fall and the rest of the year.

Be on the look out for volunteers. Every unit and the District too can use more dedicated and willing adults to make Scouting come alive. Perhaps the young adult down the street just staring out in life after school is looking to "do something". You can have the answer for him/her. Be creative and don't be bashful. The more volunteers we have at every level the more fun the program is for everyone.
