Effective June 1, 2008, Local Tour Permit Applications MUST be filed with the Council Service Center AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR to your activity. The one week advance filing requirement helps ensure your unit that trips are well planned and meet all necessary training requirements. Because of the large number of tour permits filed, late/rush filings cause delays for those who have filed promptly. If there are concerns with a tour permit, the one week filing requirement also allows time for correction avoiding cancellation of your unit's activity. Thank you for your cooperation. Visitors to this web site are able to view the monthly activities differently than in the past. Using the Council's Calendar on Doubleknot.com, viewers are able to see the Council's current schedule, announcements, library, photos, and newsletters. Each district under the Greater Western Reserve Council has their own subsection, allowing visitors to view information specific to the District selected. From the pull-down box on the left, right above the calendar, you can select "Arrowhead District," "Training," or "All Activities," etc. From the options on the right side of the page, you can select a weekly view or daily view, and print out a schedule. When implemented fully, Doubleknot will be used for general announcements, camp registrations, newsletters and e-mail distributions, and many other features.
